EPL: I don’t recognize Chelsea – Malouda slams Pochettino, Boehly

Former Chelsea star, Florent Malouda has hit out at manager Mauricio Pochettino, saying he doesn’t ‘recognize’ the club under his guidance.

Malouda also hit out at Chelsea under the leadership of Todd Boehly, insisting that he doesn’t see any stability from the management since he bought the Premier League club from Roman Abramovich.

Speaking with John Obi Mikel on The Obi One Podcast, Malouda also wants Pochettino to stop talking about a ‘project’ at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Chelsea had spent around £800 million under Boehly before Pochettino’s appointment, but their spending surpassed the £1 billion mark last summer.

Despite their huge spending in signing players in the last two transfer windows, Pochettino’s side currently sit in 10th position with 16 points from their 12 Premier League games.

“I don’t really recognise them, except for the colour of the shirt,” Malouda said.

“I think the club is using too many key words about the project or whatever.

“It takes time to build anything of value but since the new ownership [Todd Boehly], I don’t see any stability from the management.”
