“Wait Until Your 30s Before Getting Married” – Falz Advises Young People

Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has advised young people not to rush into marriage, saying it is better to wait until their 30s before settling down.

Speaking during an episode of The BTS Reality Podcast, the 35-year-old said most people are yet to attain emotional, financial and mental maturity in their 20s. He encouraged young people to use that stage of life for self-discovery, personal growth and enjoying life instead of bowing to societal pressure to get married early.

According to Falz, “Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out. Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married.”

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing that maturity matters more than age, while others argued that successful marriages depend on choosing the right partner rather than waiting until a certain age.
