Reject Amaechi’s Third Term By Proxy, Commissioner Urges Rivers People
The Rivers State Government has urged the people of the state to put aside political sentiments and support Governor Nyesom Wike to move the state forward.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr Austin Tam-George, who made the call in a statement yesterday, said Governor Wike had achieved in six months what the previous Rotimi Amaechi government could not do in six years.
He, therefore, enjoined the people to unite against alleged moves by the former governor to dislodge Governor Wike from Government House, Port Harcourt, describing the move as an attempt by Amaechi to secure what he termed a third term by proxy.
“Governor Wike has shown a clear determination to develop the state and deliver services to the people. Wike has achieved more in six months, than the previous administration did in six years.
