EPL: Arteta names best manager in the world

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has named his former boss, Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the world “by a mile”.

Arteta worked as Guardiola’s assistant for three years after he retired as a player.

After leaving City, the Spaniard took the Gunners job in December 2019.

However, last season Arteta went head-to-head with Guardiola for the Premier League title. Arsenal only lost out in the last weeks of the campaign.

This term, Arteta takes his men to the Etihad top of the league again.

On Guardiola, the 42-year-old said: “He is the best manager in the world by a mile.

He is someone I loved working with and that will stay forever. The intelligence, the way he manages the team, an incredible work ethic, he does a lot behind the scenes that people don’t see.”
