2026 WCQ: Warriors off to Kigali for Super Eagles clash

The Warriors of Zimbabwe on Friday departed for Kigali, Rwanda ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Amavubi and Super Eagles.

The Warriors technical team and locally-based players, Tanaka Shandirwa, Frank Makarati, Donovan Bernard, Walter Musona, Obriel Chirinda, Peter Muduhwa, Andrew Mbeba, and Brian Banda made the trip.

The contingent will be joined by their foreign-based counterparts, who are expected to start arriving camp this weekend.

Head coach, Beltmar Brito summoned 28 players to camp for both games.

Both games will be played at the Huye Stadium, Butare.

Zimbabwe have no approved stadium of their own and must play their home games at a neutral venue.
