UCL: He was lucky – Thierry Henry singles out Arsenal star after win over Sevilla
Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has admitted goalkeeper David Raya was ‘lucky’ during the Gunners’ Champions League 2-1 win over Sevilla on Tuesday night.
Two goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus gave Arsenal all three points against the hosts.
Speaking after the game, Henry reflected on Raya’s performance.
“Raya got lucky, I think we all saw it when he punched the ball and everybody looked at it and the ball went over the crossbar,” Henry said on CBS Sports Golazo.
“When you win away from home in Europe, it is always a good result, especially against a team like Sevilla.”
Arsenal will now shift their attention to the Premier League as they will face Sheffield United on Saturday at the Emirates.
