Rice has attracted interest from Premier League top clubs and some of the biggest clubs in Europe, with West Ham already confirming the midfielder will likely be sold.

West Ham are holding out for an offer of around £100 million for the England international, having rejected Arsenal’s opening bid of £80 million.

While Arsenal remain optimistic of signing the 24-year-old, the Gunners face competition from London rivals Manchester City, Chelsea as well as Manchester United.

“Where is he [Rice] going? That is going to be interesting,” Reo-Coker said on BBC Radio Five Live’s Football Daily Podcast.

“This is the midfielders market this year. Personally, I think he wants to go to Arsenal, but I think West Ham won’t make it easy for him.

“There is real interest from Manchester City, too, with the situation with [Ilkay] Gundogan and [Bernardo] Silva.

“I do personally believe there is strong interest from there, but I could see him going to Man City if I’m honest. That is just my personal opinion.”
