Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Sonariwo dies at 80

Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo is dead.
The monarch passed on at the age of 80, in the United Kingdom (UK) on Saturday, The Nation reports.

Oba Sonariwo was said to have travelled to the UK for medical check-up, but could not make it back.


The renowned chartered accountant was born at Ita Eleye in Lagos in 1936 and attended St. John School, Aroloya, Lagos, from 1941- 1949, Methodist Boys High School from 1950 till 1955 and later became an accountant.

Oba Sonariwo would have been 26 years on the throne in September.
