Abia APC’s Chieftain Atuonu Collapses, Dies In Church During Service

Chief Obinna Atuonu, the organising secretary of the Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly died.

Atuonu, according to information, died at the age of 65.

He died during a church service in Aba, the commercial capital of the state, where he was addressing the parishioners.

A family source disclosed that on the fateful day, his only surviving brother, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu got a call to rush to Aba from Umuahia where he was at the time the call came.

According to him, the caller told him that his late brother was critically ill, adding that his presence was needed.

According to the source, the brother of the Organising secretary upon arrival, discovered that his brother was critically ill and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The source said the body of the late APC organizing secretary has been deposited at the morgue.
