Clash Of Authors - S01 E27

immediately chorus turned to Mr Friday’s

direction, Henry came down from the stairs.

Henry sighted chorus first. He wanted to

hide from him but he changed his mind. He

went straight to meet chorus whom was

startled to see him.

Mr Friday became suspicious when he saw

this.

‘Henry did you know this young man?’ he

asked facing chorus.

‘yes sir he is my friend and he is a writer, he

is even among one of the qualifiers in The

making of authors’ Henry replied.

Chorus noticed something when their

conversation were going on. Mr Friday

stressed the word “writer” in an unusual

way. Though chorus was not suspicious

because Henry was there. But he was

equally suprised at what Henry could be

doing here at the Friday’s mansion.

‘ok then Elizabeth escort this young

gentlemen cause i am busy’ Mr Friday

commanded as chorus could be seeing

smiling.

The trio’s went out, chorus bid Elizabeth a

farewell as he proceeded to the gate. The

gates were opened for them as chorus and

Henry went out together.

Without hesitation, chorus popped out with

the question that had been disturbing his

mind.

‘Henry what were you doing at the Friday’s

mansion today?

‘Oh he is my uncles friend, the last time i

saw him, he gave me his complimentary

card so because i was not busy today i

decided to pay him a visit. Or is there any

problem with that?’

‘no, not at all , its just that i was wondering

what you were doing there.

Anyways i even

forgot to ask you self.how far have you gone

in the duplication of the list.’

‘i am almost done the list should be out

next tommorow, something delayed me. But

where you also doing there at the Friday’ s

mansion.’

‘His daughter called me there. She is my

good friend so she just invited me over to

teach her somethings. As you saw earlier, i

was standing with her when you came

down.’ chorus replied as the approached the

T junction that they would board a cab.

‘yea i saw it, but you never told me.

Anyways arent you suppose to be at work by

now. Or dont you guys have meeting today.’

Henry asked.

‘we were on break when i rushed here just

now. What even the time self?’ chorus

asked as he brought out his phone and on

it.

‘The time is 4:30, so you mean your breaks

is not over yet. You guys are supposed to

be rounding up your activities right now self,

you better start going’ Henry instructed as

chorus quickly stopped a cab and entered it

leaving Henry to continue the walk.

Immediately the cab was out of sight a

range rover stopped at the front of Henry. It

was Mr Friday’s men.

Henry knew they were following him all this

while. That was why he made chorus to

depart.

They opened the car for Henry and he went

inside.

Chorus got down from the cab and payed

the driver. He rushed towards their centre

but he met it already locked. It seemed they

have closed already. Chorus checked his

phone and met 98missed calls. 40were from

Ruth goodness,20from ozila,and 28 from

ownet.

Chorus started by calling his brother first.

The phone rang but the call was not

answered. Chorus concluded that he might

be busy so he cut the call and call Ruth

goodness. Her phone was switched off.

Chorus initiated another call again to ozila.

The network provider told chorus that he

was not reachable.

Chorus cursed under his breath as he

waited for a motor cycle that will convey

him home.

Chorus kept having mixed thought on his

way. He instructed the motor cyclist to drive

him to Henry’s house instead.

Henry had already reached his house but Mr

Friday’s men were still with him. It seemed

they are not planning to leave his side for

the day. Henry couldn’t complain as it will

make them suspicious. He got down first

and proceeded to open his door.

Just when his door opened, his head began

to ache. He couldn’t bear the pain as he

fainted immediately.

Mr Friday’s men smiled as they carried him

from the ground and took him inside. They

locked the door from inside as they began

searching for the list.
