Unauthorized Engineer Electrocuted In Ebonyi

The Public Relations Officer of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company in Ebonyi, Mr. Lazarus Chiedozie has confirmed that a middle age man known as Jonathan Agwu has been electrocuted to death at Agba Abor Isu in Onicha local government area of the state.


He stressed that the electrocuted man is not a staff of EDDC in Ebonyi. Speaking on the incident, he said, “The man went to do our work; he decided to turn himself into EDDC staff by force by climbing up to jumper line that was isolated by the company to help them trace where there is fault.


“So he went to jumper it on his own, a 33KVA high tension line and unfortunately he paid the ultimate price”. The deceased according to sources was said to be a native of Umufu village, Amanato in Isu but was not known to be an EDDC staff in the state.
