President Buhari Scraps SURE-P

The process of winding down the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) was taken a notch higher on Wednesday with its scrapping by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He directed the panel charged with the task to complete winding down the operations of SURE-P by November 30 and submit a comprehensive report of its activities to The Presidency

Buhari also ordered a probe into their activities,
funding and expenditure, THISDAY gathered.


These were contained in a letter delivered to the SURE-P Committee by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
