The child named Isah pictured with his mother just started treatment at the Sharada centre for treatment of acute malnutrition in Kano. According to UNICEF Nigeria that shared the photo, malnutrition kills 1219 children under five years every day in Nigeria. It also leads to stunting, wasting or and poor brain development.
