H&M suffers backlash on Twitter for racist comment
So retail giant H&M recently opened branches in Cape Town and Johannesburg South Africa and a South African blogger Tlalane Letlhaku noticed a trend with H&M's all white models and commented on H& M's Twitter page saying that “most, if not all your posters in store have no black models” and to “please work on that to appeal to everyone,”. H&M's response to Letlhaku's comment got everyone riled up. Read the exchange/comments below:
The fact that H&M said they were trying to convey a positive message to the blogger's complaint having posters with no black model, didn't go down well with anyone. Read more comments..
Then H&M responded with this...comment that is supposed to be an apology but doesn't really look like an apology
