Gombe State University 2015/2016 Postgraduate Application Form Is Out

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified Candidates for admission into the following Postgraduate programmes of the GombeState University for the 2015/2016 Academic Session.

Faculty of Education
*.Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
Duration
M. A. /M. Sc – (Minimum of 2 Academic Sessions and Maximum of 3 Academic Sessions
Postgraduate Diploma – (Minimum of 1 Academic Session and Maximum of 2 Academic Sessions

Admission Requirements
M. A. History
The following shaft qualify for the Master of Arts (M.A) History Degree Programme:
Candidates must possess at least a Second Class lower Honours degree in History from -a recognized University.
Candidates with Second Class Lower Division Honours degree in History Education from a recognized University may be considered. Such Candidates, upon gaining admission, must offer same specified courses at the Undergraduate Programme in the Department of History.
M. Sc Physics
Applicants with the following qualifications from any recognized University will be considered for admission.
B.Sc (Hons Physics, with a Minimum of Second Class Lower Division.

Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
The following shall qualify for admission into Postgraduate Diploma Programmes:
To be considered for admission all prospective candidates must have a Minimum of Second Class Lower degree or HND Upper Credit in their teaching subject.
Candidates with Third Class degree with working experience of not less than three years may also be considered for admission.

General Requirements
In addition candidates must fulfill the entry requirement for the undergraduate programme of the University.
Five credit Including English and Mathematics
Application Closing Date
30th September, 2015.

Method of Application
Interested candidates for all the School of Postgraduate Studies Programmes should pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) to “Diamond Bank Acct No: 0033626627, (Acct Name: Gombe State University)” and submit the teller to “Bursary Department” and collect receipt and proceed to School of Postgraduate Studies for collection of the forms.
