Ghanaian Striker Asamoah Gyan emerges Africa’s highest paid footballer.

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has overtaken Samuel
Eto’o of Cameroon and Manchester City’s Yaya
Toure to become Africa’s highest paid sportsman.

According to The Magazine’s Money Issue salary
survey project, Gyan will make $16 million annual
profit from his salaries, wages and endorsements as
well his private businesses.

Gyan who moved from English Premier League side
Sunderland in September 2013 to Al Ain in the UAE
for a record loan fee now earns more than
Manchester City and Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure who
pockets around $3322,000 a week and an annual
aggregate of $15.4 million.

Togo star Emmanuel Adebayor currently earns an
aggregate of US$ $13.3 million, while three-time
African Footballer of the Year Samuel Eto’o earns a
little over $13million annually.
