French Presidential Candidate, Le Pen Spotted Dancing After Her Election Defeat {Photos}

Far-right candidate Marine Le Pen was filmed dancing to I Love Rock N Roll just hours after she conceded defeat to Emmanuel Macron in the French presidential election. The 48-year-old was showing off her moves and singing along to the famous song by the Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

In the bizarre clips, posted online, she was also seen spinning around on the dancefloor as YMCA by the Village People was played on the big speakers.

Just hours before, the National Front candidate phoned Macron, 39, to congratulate him on his victory after exit polls showed he had received 66 per cent of the vote.

She conceded and Macron later celebrated with thousands of his supporters outside the Louvre in Pairs with his 64-year-old wife Brigitte.

Emmanuel Macron last night vowed to 'defend Europe' minutes after becoming France's youngest leader since Napoleon.

Macron, 39, beat far-right National Front (FN) candidate Marine Le Pen, 48, in an election that will have widespread repercussions for the future of Europe.

And on Sunday, an official preliminary result released at 8pm local time showed Macron received two thirds of the vote and had earned a clear victory over Le Pen.
