Basketmouth reacts to shunning presidential elections

In the last few days, comedian, Basketmouth has come under heavy fire from fans who are clearly not happy with him.

This is a result of the comedian’s unveiling of posters of himself and other stars like Wizkidand Olamideas headliners of a Valentine show in London, England on February 14, 2015.

Most of them have voiced their displeasure at the fact that Basketmouth should be a role model and shouldn’t fix a show for a date that clashes with the 2o14 presidential election in Nigeria.

In his defence, Basketmouth has come out to say he didn’t start hosting the show last year or this year, informing fans about the origin of the show in a recent tweet.
‘Every Valentines’ Day for the past 6 years, Basketmouth Uncensored UK has held, had I known 6 years ago that the General election would hold on Valentines day in 2015, I wouldn’t have signed the Franchise. Home is where the heart belongs, God Bless Nigeria,’ he wrote.
