KASU Postgraduate Application form, 2026/2027 session

This is to inform the general public that our online application forms for Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are available from 20th August to 31st October, 2026.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Interested applicants should visit the University Application Portal: applicant.safapply.com/kasupg for application procedure and the list of available programmes.

Furthermore, applicants are required to pay a processing fee of N10, 000 (Nigerians) or $20 (Non-Nigerians).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA

Candidates Must Possess:

i. Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O' Level in a maximum of two sittings.

ii. Relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognized University not lower than third class or

iii. Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) in any area not related to the field applied for, may be considered or

iv. Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in related field of study from a Polytechnic or any recognized institution.

v. Candidates with Pass in Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma or its equivalent will not be considered for admission.

vi. Candidates must posses NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate.

PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess

i. Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O’ Level in a maximum of two sittings.

ii. First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized University in the relevant field with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) or

iii. A candidate with a Third Class Degree or HND and Postgraduate Diploma from Kaduna State University or any recognized Institution with a CGPA of not less than 3.50.

iv. Candidates must posses NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate.

ACADEMIC MASTER'S PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess:

i. Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O’ Level in a maximum of two Sittings.

ii. First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized University in the relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and a Second Class (Lower Division) in other Colleges.

iii. A candidate with CPGA lower than no. 2 above that has a Postgraduate Diploma with CGPA of not less than 3.50 may be considered.

iv. Candidates must posses NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate.

MPHIL/PHD PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess:

i. Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O’ Level in a maximum of two sittings.

ii. First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized University in the relevant field with a minimum of

Second Class (Lower Division) and

iii. An Academic Master's Degree of Kaduna State University or any recognized institution with a CGPA below the requirements for PhD.

iv. Candidates must posses NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate.

DOCTORATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O’ Level in a maximum of two sittings.

ii. First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized University in the relevant field with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) and’

iii. An Academic Master's Degree of Kaduna State University or any recognized Institution with a CGPA of 4.00 In the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and 3.50 in other Colleges.

iv. Each applicant is required to prepare a tentative research proposal of between 1000-1500 words which is to be uploaded at the time of application.

v. Candidates must posses NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Interested candidates should log on to applicant.safapply.com/kasupg and click on the College of Postgraduate Studies button, then follow the procedures below:

i. Begin the application by creating a profile with your email as username, then create your desired password. Applicant can continue the registration by login in their profile details.

ii. Candidate should proceed to fill the online application form.

iii. Candidates offered provisional admission into (M.Sc./M.A.,MPhil/PhD and PhD) will be required to produce transcripts of their academic records and originals of their credentials, including NYSC discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate at the point of registration.
