ESUT bans reckless driving on campus

This is to inform the University Community that incessant and reckless driving within and around the school premises after writing degree/final year State House of Assembly examinations is still in force in line with the Enugu State

Resolution as earlier directed by Honourable Commissioner for Education in a memo Ref. No. ENS/MOE/COM/PARJ0047 of December 20th, 2024 to the Vice Chancellor.

Please note that Management shall not hesitate to take drastic action(s) on any student(s) in breach of this directive. For the avoidance of doubt, any vehicle impounded or seized will not be released until a fine of five hundred thousand (N500,000) naira only is paid to the coffers of the University and the affected student(s) shall be sanctioned accordingly.

Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments/Units are by this memo directed to warn their final year students to comply as indicated above.

Furthermore, the Chief Security Officer and other law enforcement agencies on campus are hereby mandated to be at red alert and ensure that law and order are strictly maintained within the University premises.
