ADUSTECH cancels mid-semester break for 2nd semester,, 2025/2026

The Senate of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology has canceled the mid-semester break earlier schedule for this week.This was contained in a notice signed by the Senate Secretary on behalf of the Chairman.

The notice reads, "You may wish to recall that according to the Senate Approved Academic Calendar, the Mid- Semester Break for the Second Semester 20225/2026 Academic session would be observed from Monday, 13th July, to Friday, 17th July, 2026. While the University wishes to strictly comply with the calendar, it becomes necessary to consider the current realities of the syllabus coverage made so far in our respective programmes. This was occasioned by the late resumption of our students for the Second Semester which affected the commencement of lectures in many departments.

Pursuant to the above, it is unrealistic to observe the Mid-semester Break as scheduled if we are to cover reasonable portions of the course contents of our programmes. In view of the above, The Chairman of the Senate has graciously given approval for the continuation of lectures throughout the week scheduled for the mid-semester break please.

 Deans, HODs and the University Community are by this circular kindly requested to note, comply and give the content of this circular the necessary publicity it deserves as appropriate, please.
