UNILORIN Electoral Commission lifts ban on Student Union elections

The Unilorin Independent Student Electoral Commission (UISEC) has officially announced the lifting of the ban on the sale of nomination forms for the upcoming 2024/2025 student union elections. This development marks the beginning of the electoral process for students aspiring to leadership positions within the University of Ilorin Students’ Union Government.

According to a public notice released by the commission, interested aspirants can now obtain nomination forms for various positions at the following prices:

President – ₦12,000

Vice President – ₦10,000

General Secretary – ₦9,000

Other Central Executive Council (CEC) Positions – ₦8,000

Senate – ₦8,000

Hall Representatives – ₦8,000

Aspirants are required to make payments into the official student union account with the Unilorin Microfinance Bank:

Candidates making transfers are instructed to forward a soft copy of their payment receipt to the Chairman, Secretary, or Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the commission. Additionally, they must present the original receipt or bank teller when collecting their nomination forms.
