Lady Gaga finally speaks up on transgender rumors

In a recent interview with Variety, Lady Gaga addressed the rumors about her being transgender and explained her reasons for not commenting on it.

Gaga mentioned that her choice was to help eliminate any shame tied to being transgender.

“I didn’t feel like a victim with that lie, and I thought: What about a kid who is being accused of that who would think that a public figure like me would feel shame?” she said.

She discussed the possible outcomes of tackling certain rumors, pointing out that it might not always help, particularly regarding the well-being of others.

“I’ve been in situations where fixing a rumor was not in the best interest and the well-being of other people,” she added.
