Borussia Dortmund manager Nuri Sahin showered encomium on Club Brugge’s Raphael Onyedika despite his side’s victory over the Belgian champions.

The last season’s runners-up defeated their hosts 3-0 in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Wednesday.

Club Brugge put up a good fight but conceded three goals in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Jamie Gittens scored a brace, while Guinea international Serhou Guirassy scored the other goal.

Onyedika gave a good account of himself in the game.

Sahin singled out the Nigerian for praise after the encounter.

“We knew that Club Brugge’s game runs through Raphael Onyedika, but we failed to neutralize him,” Sahin said during his post-match reaction.
