FA Cup final: ‘He’s enjoyable to watch’ – Ten Hag singles out Man Utd star

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has hailed midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, insisting that the England youngster is enjoyable to watch.

Ten Hag said this while calling on English football fans to remain patient and allow Mainoo to progress at his own pace following his standout performance in the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday.

Mainoo delivered an exceptional display in midfield, helping Manchester United secure a 2-1 victory in what is anticipated to be Ten Hag’s final match as manager.

The 19-year-old’s cool finish in the 39th minute concluded a superb team move, ultimately securing the win.

When asked about Mainoo’s potential by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer, Ten Hag advised caution: “He was (great) it was really so enjoyable to watch Kobbie at his age.

“He’s an example, we wanted to play him but then in pre-season the second game he got a bad injury and took him so long to get back.

“I think we have to keep it calm. You are very good here in England to push players and managers very high and then to hammer them when they have one or two bad performances.”
