Caution Govt Officials Against Hiring Private Jets to Visit You – Shehu Sani

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has sent a message to President Bola Tinubu about government officials visiting him for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He urged President Bola Tinubu to caution government officials against using public funds to hire private jets to greet him.

Sani made the call while wishing President Tinubu a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Posting on X, Sani wrote: “I wish the President a Happy Eid al Fitr in advance; And please Your Excellency, tell Elected and Appointed Public Officials not to spend public funds hiring private jets just to come and “greet you” for Sallah.”

Recall that the Presidency had disclosed that Tinubu will celebrate his Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Lagos.

The President’s trip was made public by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale via a statement.

“President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja, the Nation’s Capital, for Lagos on Sunday ahead of Eid-el-Fitr.

“In deference to the solemn occasion, which marks the end of Ramadan, the President will observe the moment in prayers for Nigeria and with family.

“The President will continue official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays,” the statement reads.
