Pulse Cast Adds Pennyworth & The Boys Stars to Netflix Medical Drama

According to Deadline, Netflix has enlisted five new actors to join the Pulse cast for its first original medical procedural drama.

Jack Bannon (Pennyworth), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), Daniela Nieves (Vampire Academy), Jessy Yates (Law & Order: SVU) and Chelsea Muirhead (Warrior) have been cast for the respective roles of Tom Cole, Sam Elijah, Camila Perez, Harper and Sophie Chan.

What to expect in Pulse?

“While the staff of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center navigate medical emergencies, young ER doc Dani Simms is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the fallout of her own provocative romantic relationship,” reads the official logline.

Pulse is created and executive produced by Zoe Robyn, who’s also serving as the showrunner alongside Lost’s Carlton Cuse. The series will be led by previously announced cast members Justina Machado (One Day at a Time),Willa Fitzgerald (The Fall of the House of Usher) and Colin Woodell (The Continental). It is executive produced by Cuse, Kate Dennis, Bradley Gardner, Emma Forman, and Michael Klick, with Dennis also tapped to direct the first two episodes.
