Ryan Coogler’s Vampire Movie Gets a Release Date

A date has been given for Ryan Coogler’s vampire movie (which is still without a title) as Warner Bros. gives it some premium treatment.

Ryan Coogler’s Vampire Movie Release Date Set

Ryan Coogler’s vampire movie will get the Imax treatment when it hits theaters on March 7, 2025.

The mysterious movie, which sees Coogler reunite with frequent collaborator Michael B. Jordan, was picked up by Warner Bros. last month. Coogler and Jordan have a rich and storied history together, with Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Black Panther among the fruits of their collaborations, and this new project is based on an original idea from Coogler.

Filming is expected to begin next month in New Orleans.

The project has been labeled as a period thriller (that might take place in the Jim Crow-era South) and involves the undead. Some sources of The Hollywood Reporter have even said it also contains anime influences, which were also clear in Jordan’s Creed III.

Jeff Sneider of The Insneider previously corroborated the period nature of the film, and added that it was also a vampire movie.

Coogler is producing via Proximity Media with Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer, Black Panther), will executive produce with Rebecca Cho and Will Greenfield.
