Killer Kau was born in the vibrant city of Soweto, South Africa, on July 5, 1998. and he was raised by his parents. Sibongile Makhubu and Muyekeni Makhubu From a young age, he discovered his passion for music and began showcasing his vocal talents within the walls of his local church.

He grew up with his four siblings, Tumelo Kau, Sanele Kau, Gugu Hlatshwayo, and Xolisile Makhubu. In addition to this, he also embarked on a journey with the African Heavenly Soul Singers male choir, further expanding his musical horizons.

When Killer Kau was still in grade 11 at Lavela Secondary School in Zola, Soweto, his life turned unexpectedly towards fame.

Career

Killer Kau’s journey in the music industry started while he was still a student. However, it was in 2017 that his career skyrocketed after he shared a video of himself performing his track “Tholukuthi Hey” on various social media platforms.

The video quickly gained immense popularity and went viral, capturing the interest of DJ Euphonik. Recognizing Killer Kau’s undeniable talent, DJ Euphonik wasted no time and signed him to his record label, propelling Killer Kau further into the spotlight and opening up numerous opportunities for his flourishing music career.

Killer Kau’s career took off with his first hit single, “Tholukuthi Hey,” which became hugely popular in South Africa. This success paved the way for him to release more successful singles like “Amaneighbour,” “Sofa Silahlane,” and “Gobisiqolo”. Additionally, Killer Kau collaborated with renowned South African artists such as Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, and Cassper Nyovest.
