Meera Vasudevan, who hails from a Tamil Brahmin family, was born on January 29, 1982, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her parents are Vasudevan and Hemalatha. Being the oldest daughter of her family, she also has a younger sister named Ashwini, who had previously worked as a child actress.
Meera’s educational journey began at St. Teresa’s High School in Kandivali, Mumbai, where she laid the foundation for her academic pursuits. Eager to further her knowledge and interests, she enrolled at Mithibai College in Mumbai, pursuing a dual degree in psychology and English literature.
Career
Vasudevan started her professional journey in the modeling industry, where she showcased her talent and beauty in numerous advertisement films. One particular ad that gained immense popularity was the “Om Cricketaya Namaha” rangoli ad, which aired during the Cricket World Cup 2002 series. This advertisement catapulted Vasudevan into instant stardom, making her a recognized face among the masses overnight.
In 2003, she marked her entry into acting by debuting in the Hindi film industry with the movie “Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula,” where she starred alongside Milind Soman. Interestingly, her Telugu film “Golmaal” was released before her Hindi debut.

In 2005, Meera tied the knot with Vishal Agarwal, the son of renowned cinematographer Ashok Kumar. However, their marriage ended in divorce in July 2010. Two years later, in 2012, she found love again and married Malayalam actor John Kokken. Together, they have a son. Unfortunately, their relationship hit a rough patch, and they decided to separate in 2016.
