Xabi Alonso opens up on leaving Bayer Leverkusen for Liverpool or Bayern

Bayer Leverkusen boss, Xabi Alonso, has opened up on his future at the Bundesliga following rumours about his move to Bayern Munich or Liverpool.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp and Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, are all set to leave their various clubs at the end of the season.

So far, Alonso, who is on the verge of winning the Bundesliga with Leverkusen at first shot, has been rumoured to be joining either club.

But addressing reporters on his future on Thursday, the Spaniard said, “Bayern, Liverpool? I have nothing new to say.

“Right now, I’m Bayer Leverkusen’s coach and that’s certain. Regarding the future, I have nothing new to say.

“Call received from Bayern? That’s only hypothetical, again — I have nothing new to say”.
