Champions League: Rio Ferdinand names two teams Arsenal should fear

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has named the two teams Arsenal should fear in the Champions League this season.

According to Ferdinand, Mikel Arteta’s side have ‘nothing to fear’ outside of Manchester City and Real Madrid in this season’s Champions League.

After a seven-year hiatus, the Gunners returned to Europe’s top-flight competition this term after finishing second position in the Premier League behind Pep Guardiola’s side last season.

Arsenal is presently in the Champions League Round of 16 as they hope to beat Porto over the two legs and book their place in the quarter-final.

“I think they can go a long way in this tournament,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports.

“As long as they stay away from Man City and Real Madrid until maybe the semis or finals, I think they can get that far.

“They have got nothing to fear outside those two.”
