Kidnapped Passengers On GIG And ABC Buses Released In Kogi State

The passengers kidnapped on God Is Good Motors (GIGM) and ABC Transport buses in Kogi State, have regained freedom.

Fourteen passenger were travelling in two different buses from the East to Abuja when they were abducted at Inyenle Eteke, Ogugu, Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State, last Friday, Feb. 2.

The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Police Force said all the hostages have now been released.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP William Aya, confirmed the release of the hostages on Thursday, Feb. 8.

He, however, did not explain whether the victims were rescued by security or whether ransom was paid before they were set free.

"Just been informed by the DPO that all the kidnapped victims of God is Good Motors and ABC regained their freedom," Aya said.
