Reactions As Abuja Socialite Hosts 7-Day Birthday Party Abroad

Aisha Achimugu, the founder and managing director of Abuja's Felak Concept Group, marked her 50th birthday with a lavish celebration on the Caribbean Island of Grenada, spanning seven days.

Several attendees were reportedly said to have flown from Nigeria to the party’s location in hired jets.

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was also reported to have been present at the billionaire’s birthday celebration.

Nigerians in attendance described it as one of the most lavish parties they had ever seen or heard about as the celebrant hired Calivigny Island for a week and booked rooms for her guests at Silversand Grenada.

During the week-long party, Achimugu, a mother of three and a widow who lost her husband to coronavirus in 2020, reportedly changed clothes at least 30 times.

A number of local and international A-list musicians and entertainers flew in to perform at the various events. Those who performed include Kenny G (American saxophonist and composer), Waje, Flavour, Adekunle Gold, Asake and Mr Killa (a Grenada musician).

The event was filled with a lot of activities, from swimming to extravagant meals, burn fires, kayaking and even tourism.
