LaLiga: Next two matches will determine Barcelona’s season – Xavi

Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has claimed the next two matches will define the club’s season.

Xavi’s men are currently eight points behind La Liga leaders, Girona and seven points adrift of second-place Real Madrid.

Barca is away at Real Betis on Sunday in the league, before travelling to Bilbao for a Copa del Rey quarter-final against Athletic Club on Wednesday.

“These next games will mark the season but also if we have good results with Betis [in La Liga] or Athletic [in the Copa].

“They are a rival that we did not want in the Cup but we will compete.

“But first, Betis. Everything at Barça is determined by the next few days. It’s always the same,” Xavi said.
