Sheldon Jerome Young was born on May 26, 1991, between Compton and Lynwood in southern Los Angeles. His great-grandparents raised him. He spent most of his days at church, playing the drums for the choir.
Channel moved away from home to attend Oral Roberts University, a private Christian university in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
