Police Arrest 16-year-old For Defiling Nine year old Girl In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 16-year-old boy identified as Basiru Enu, for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl.

A statement released by SP Suleiman Nguroje, spokesperson of the command, said the suspect, a resident of Kwatau Village, Hong local government area of the state was arrested at Kala'a Division following a complaint received from the girl's father.

The suspect allegedly took advantage of the victim when she went to fetch water at the stream and forcefully had s3xual intercourse with the little girl.

Nguroje added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatole Adeniyi, frowned at the incident and ordered the officer in charge of the Family Unit to take over the investigation and ensure the prosecution of the suspect.
