EPL: Three matches we could see shock results this weekend

The English Premier League (EPL) match-day 18 started on Thursday evening as Crystal Palace drew 1-1 against Brighton at home.

Only Manchester City’s clash against Brentford was postponed due to the Citizens’ participation at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Wolves and Chelsea will play the last Premier League game of this weekend on Sunday afternoon.

DAILY POST reports the three matches this weekend that fans could probably see shocking results as follows:

1. Tottenham vs Everton: Both teams won 2-0 in their last games against Nottingham Forest and Burnley, respectively. Spurs currently sit in the 5th position on the log with 33 points from 17 games, while Everton are in the 16th position with 16 points from the same number of matches.

Everton could get a good result against the host at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The match will take place at 4 pm on Saturday evening.

2. West Ham vs Manchester United: West Ham won their last Premier League tie 3-0 against Wolves, while Man United drew 0-0 against Liverpool.

The Red Devils currently sit in 7th position on the log with a point ahead of West Ham who sit in 9th position after 17 games.

The Hammers were recently eliminated from the Carabao Cup after losing 5-1 to Liverpool in the quarter-final stage.

However, David Moyes’ side could bounce back from their defeat and pull a good result against Man United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

3. Wolves vs Chelsea: On paper, Wolves are the underdogs going into this encounter.

They lost their last game 3-0 against West Ham, while Chelsea won 2-0 against Sheffield United. However, anything can still happen, as Wolves will be hoping to avoid another defeat in one week when they host Mauricio Pochettino’s side at Molineux Stadium.

Wolves sits in 13th position on the Premier League table with three points behind Chelsea who occupy the 10th position after 17 matches.
