Champions League: Supercomputer predicts team to win trophy

A supercomputer has predicted the team to win this season’s UEFA Champions League trophy.

Manchester City are the defending champions of the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s side won Europe’s top-flight competition last season after beating Inter Milan 1-0 in the final.

However, according to a supercomputer devised by OLBG, Premier League side Arsenal will win the Champions League this season.

The supercomputer came out with this prediction after compiling data from all group stage results.

Arsenal have been given a 22 per cent chance of European glory this season.

The Gunners are two per cent better than the next best team, Manchester City.

Bayern Munich are trailing some way behind in third place with a 15 per cent chance of winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid are the fourth most likely team to lift the trophy at Wembley Stadium come May with 12 per cent.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are the next favourites with a seven per cent chance.
