This is to inform all students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) that the management has released the approved academic calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session. The schedule of events for the academic session are as follows;

FIRST SEMESTER, 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

Monday, 15th January, 2024 - Registration Portal Opens/ Online Registration commences for all Undergraduates

Sunday 28th January, 2024 - Arrival date for all Students (Both Fresh and Returning)

Monday, 29th January, 2024 - Physical Registration Commences

Monday, 29th January, 2024 - Lecture Commences for Returning Students

Monday, 5th & Tuesday 6th February, 2024 - Departmental Board of Examiners meets on the - 2nd Semester, 2022/2023 Academic Session Results

Thursday, 8th & Friday 9th February, 2024 - Schools Board of Examiners meets on the 2nd Semester, 2022/2023 Academic Session Results

Monday, 5th – Friday, 9th February, 2024 - Orientation for Fresh Students

Monday, 5th – Monday, 18th February, 2024- Late Registration

Monday, 12th February, 2024 - Lecture Commences for Fresh Students

Wednesday, 28th February, 2024 - 317th Senate sits on 2nd Semester, 2022/2023 Academic Session Results

Tuesday 12th March, 2024 - Matriculation Ceremony

Thursday, 14th - Saturday, 16th March, 2024- Mid-Semester Break

Monday, 18th March, 2024 - Lectures Resume

Friday 29th March - Monday 1st April, 2024 - Easter Break

Wednesday, 10th – Thursday, 11th April, 2024 - Idel Fitr Holidays

Wednesday, 1st May, 2024 - Workers’ Day

Friday, 26th April, 2024 - Lectures End

Monday 29th April – Friday 3rd May, 2024 - Lecture-Free Week

Monday 6th May – Saturday, 24th May, 2024- First Semester Examinations

Monday 27th May – Saturday 14th June, 2024- Inter-Semester Break
