Luis Diaz reacts after scoring two goals in Colombia’s win over Brazil
Colombia forward, Luis Diaz has reacted to his side’s World Cup qualifier win over Brazil in the earlier hours of today.
Diaz scored twice as Colombia stunned Brazil 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier, days after his father was released by kidnappers.
The Liverpool star netted twice in four minutes late in the second half, watched by his father Luiz Manuel Diaz who was held for 12 days by his captives.
Reacting, Diaz thanked God for the victory over Brazil, adding that Colombia deserved the win.
“I thank God,” Diaz said in his post-match interview after the game.
“He makes it all possible. We have always lived tough moments, but life makes you strong and brave.
“So is soccer and so is life. We deserved this victory.”
