UECL: Orban wins Player of the Week award

KAA Gent forward, Gift Orban has been named winner of the UEFA Europa Conference League Player of the Week award.

The Nigeria international was recognised for his impressive performance in Gent’s 3-2 win at Icelandic side, Breidablik on Thursday night.

The striker scored all three goals for KAA Gent in the game.

Orban scored once in the first half and was on target twice after the break.

It’s the second time the 21-year-old will be scoring a hat-trick for Gent in the competition.

Orban beat Bodo/Glimt’s Faris Moumbagna, Jason Svanthorsson of Breidablik and Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Dor Peretz to the award.
