EPL: Guardiola speaks on Chelsea winning title

Forum 4 weeks ago

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has backed Chelsea to win the Premier League title soon.

The Blues last won the trophy in 2014 under Antonio Conte.

Last season, Chelsea finished in 12th place, sacking Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter as managers, before finishing the season with Frank Lampard in interim charge.

But Guardiola has urged for time to be given to the manager and players to achieve success at the club.

“They [Chelsea] are getting better, every manager needs time.

“New club, new players, but sooner or later they will be a contender as the qualities in all the departments are there,” Guardiola told a press conference on Friday.
