LaLiga: He surprised me a lot – Diego Godin on Real Madrid midfielder

Former Atletico Madrid defender, Diego Godin has admitted that he’s been surprised by midfielder Jude Bellingham’s sensational start at Real Madrid.

Godin said this ahead of Atletico Madrid’s La Liga derby with Real Madrid on Sunday.

Bellingham has been a revelation after he joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The England international became the second most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history in a €103 million deal.

He has already made history at Real Madrid, scoring six goals and registering one assist in six matches across competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

“Jude Bellingham has surprised me. Coming in so well and scoring so many goals,” Godin said (via MadridXtra).

“The truth is that he has surprised me a lot.”

Bellingham is currently La Liga’s top scorer with five goals so far this season.
