Seminarian burnt to death as bandits set Catholic parish house ablaze in Kaduna

Suspected bandits stormed St. Raphael Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, set the parish house ablaze, killing the seminarian, Bro. Naam Stephen Ngofe Danlami. 

The Parish in Kalimantan is under the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Jema'a Local Government Area of the state. 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the attackers stormed the parish house at about 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night, September 7, 2023 and set it ablaze alongside a vehicle.

Sources told NAN that the deceased seminarian, Stephen Naman, died from the smoke he inhaled while trying to escape from the grasp of the attackers.

The Acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, ASP Mansir Alhassan, confirmed the incident.
