CAF Confederation Cup: ASO Chlef blame timing for loss to Bendel Insurance

ASO Chlef have alleged that the timing of their CAF Confederation Cup match against Bendel Insurance contributed to their loss.

The Algerian side won the preliminary round second leg encounter 1-0.

With the game tied 1-1 on aggregate, it was Bendel Insurance who won 4-3 on penalties.

The encounter was initially fixed for 8:30pm local time but was brought forward to 5pm.

“True football has a winner and a loser, But to tease that we played in a stadium where the ball is not salty,”

“And we played more than 5 in the evening the team played a beautiful game in the first half.

“But if we played in Boumezrag and at night we would have won by three at least.” the club stated on their social media handle.
