CAF Champions League: Medeama coach eyes qualification over Remo Stars

Medeama SC head coach, Evans Adotey is confident his side will get a favourable result against Remo Stars in their CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg clash.

The Ghanaian champions defeated the Sky Blue Stars 1-0 in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Jonathan Sowah scored the winning goal in the 22nd minute.

Both teams will face off in a reverse fixture this weekend at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

Adotey praised Remo Stars for their impressive performance in the game but stated that his team will do their best to scale through to the next round.

“Remo Stars were fitter than us; we expected them to defend and hit with the counter-attack but they attacked and attacked,” Adotey told the club’s media.

“We played against a very disciplined team. We did our best and we hope to complete the job in Nigeria.”

The winner will face Guinean side, Horoya FC in the second round.
