Diana Marua was born on November 5, 1988 in Migori County, Kenya where her family originates from. She belongs to the Luo tribe. Her mother passed away in 2009. She has two siblings; two sisters named Mitchnand Valerie who are both makeup artists.

She grew up with her father, Joseph Omach, a leading cancer advocate and the founder of childhood cancer initiative, a non-governmental organization since 2009.
