Transfer: Chelsea eye ex-EPL goalkeeper as Kepa agrees deal with Real Madrid

Chelsea are considering a move for former Premier League goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel as Kepa Arrizabalaga agrees a season-long loan deal with Real Madrid.

Kepa is all set to depart Chelsea this summer after Edouard Mendy already left Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid are in need of a new goalkeeper as Thibault Courtois has suffered a serious knee injury.

The Los Blancos want to bring in Kepa from Chelsea on a short-term deal.

Chelsea have already signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton for £25million and it appears that he will go straight into the starting line-up when they take on Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will need another keeper in the squad and according to The Guardian, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have turned their attention to Schmeichel, who currently plays for Nice.
