Shabani, a surprisingly hunky male gorilla, has always been an Internet celebrity ever since its mugshots went viral last year. His fame has recently gone international as a group of photos show it 'smokes' leisurely.

Truth is, Shabani is not smoking but merely chewing a scallion. One of the photos show Shabani removed the scallion from inside his mouth and grinned, as if proud of his own prank.

The pretty primate now lives at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya, Japan.
